One of my former daycare girls (20 years ago or so) and her husband built this awesome new cubby for my front hall! She had an ad on Kiijii for kids' furniture so I emailed her to see if they could build me a cubby ...at the time , I didn't realize it was her since she's now married and has 2 kids!

They brought it out to me today...and it's perfect!

I sent her a pic from a website and they made it almost exactly the same...the best part is that I got rid of the old bench that was there and Dorky Dad CANNOT plunk his butt down and yak anymore...! There is room for the kids to sit to put their shoes on but no adults...finally, just what I needed!!

They only charged me $225 for it ...it's solid wood...on the website, they wanted $450 and I bet it was particle board...it matches my panelling too and she has never seen it because we've only had it on for 2 years...she was thrilled that it fits right on...

OMG!!!! That is so awesome, what a beautiful piece of furniture! I am jealous, that is gorgeous. I wonder if I could build something like that, hmmmmm. And I love that there is a teeny bench for teeny butts and not enough room for dcd lol.
