07-29-10 04:57 PMI have never been to Wisconsin Dells before, so I don't really know what's good, what's not, etc. Any recommendations? (or places to avoid?)
I am really leaning towards the Wilderness resort. Any opinions on that place?
07-29-10 09:03 PM The Wilderness is amazing!!! A lot of variety (ie: pool areas) to keep everyone interested. A good mix of indoor and outdoor pools and activities. Nice walking trails, and a zipline course. There is a sports bar on the grounds, as well as many restaurants nearby. We have stayed in the villas, and in the hotel rooms. If you are staying in for more than 2 nights, and you get along well with at least one other family, it would be worth considering the 3 or 4 bdrm villas. They are wonderful. Also, the Wilderness pools are only for resort guests. You can't buy pool passes if you are just interested in swimming.
We have also stayed at the Kalahari and the Great Wolf Lodge. Both are very nice, but we like the Wilderness best of all. Anyone who has been there wants to return.
